Teacher: Ms. Jennifer Borgman
Third and Fourth grade students are encouraged to begin to think independently while working cooperatively. Students are inspired and given the tools to observe, think, experiment, examine, research and reason. For example, students explore different environments in the United States by building “mini-habitats” of different biomes and doing experiements to investigate how plants and animals adapt, thrive and relate to their surroundings. They participate in a national competition with K-nex, study electricity by creating their own electrical boards and follow the Iditerod race across Alaska by choosing their own mushers and write to them. In addition to the core subjects taught students participate in music, art, gym, Spanish, and computers.
