walk

By Colton Tibbe

The seventh graders from Grant Christian School won the Fall Walk-A-Thon on a very hot Friday in September. Grades compete against one another for the highest total laps. The students ran on a ¼ mile nature trail in the woods behind their school. The whole school ran in this event in order to raise money for GCS. The younger kids enjoy getting popsicles while the big kids run for competition. They raise money by having people who know them or want to donate to them sign a pledge form. Mr. Vanderzanden said, “We are doing this for our school to raise money”. They use the money for school supplies, Camp Harvest, and pop-up parties.
