On Friday, May 1, students, families, and staff gathered at City Church in Rockford for the Ladies of Honor and Men of Honor Gala, a special evening recognizing the hard work and character of GCS middle school students.

Seven young ladies were honored during the event, each receiving daggers and charm bracelets for completing three magazines along with a variety of paper assignments and service projects throughout the year. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to personal growth were celebrated by all in attendance.

In addition, four young men were recognized for their accomplishments and awarded tenet pins, symbolizing their effort and growth through the Men of Honor program.

Ladies of Honor and Men of Honor are unique opportunities available to GCS 7th and 8th grade students, focusing on character development, service, and leadership. The programs are led by Mrs. Oatis for the girls and Mr. VanderZanden and Mr. Neville for the boys.

GCS is proud to offer these impactful programs and looks forward to continuing to invest in students’ growth. Those interested in supporting the program through donations or volunteering are encouraged to contact Mrs. Oatis.
