Today was our last full day of the 25-26 school year. We celebrated by heading to Sparta Lanes to bowl for a couple of hours. Then we walked to the park and had pizza for lunch. We topped it off with an ice cream cone from Sundaes at the Park before we headed back to school.
Today our eighth graders led our last chapel of the year!
We were also able to pray over them as a school.
All of our kids were able to pick a prize to take home...most of the prizes were donated! It was a great day to be at GCS.
Our sweet Kindergartners graduated this afternoon! They put on a great program and enjoyed a celebration with their families!

Yesterday, we were able to begin a memorial garden at GCS. Two trees were planted — one in memory of Alice Roeters, our school interventionist, and another in memory of Jerry Arends, a huge supporter of Grant Christian School.
The students also planted coneflowers, adding even more beauty to the garden. A beautiful bench was also made to complete this special space of remembrance and reflection.

GCS goes to the Whitecaps!
Another favorite day at GCS! Bike riding in PE with Mr. Mark is always a highlight. Our preschool through second grade students ride to the church, third & fourth ride to 136th, then back to church where they are able to ride/race through an obstacle course. The fifth through eighth graders were able to bike to the country store on Tyrone. A special thank-you to Mr. Mark for heading this up every year and treating the fifth through eighth grade students today!

Each week, we begin our day together in chapel with different pastors and worship leaders who come to share worship, encouragement, and God’s Word with our students.
One of the highlights is “Ask the Pastor,” where students place their questions in a bucket and our guest pastors answer them during chapel. We love seeing our students grow in their faith, ask meaningful questions, and learn more about God together.
We also enjoy eating lunch together in our chapel groups in the gym with a fabulous lunch, giving students and staff a special time for fellowship, friendship, and community.

Second grade went back to the Arts Place in Fremont. Lindsay Isenhart helped the class make a fused glass art project for Mother's Day. We had so much fun. The class did an amazing job!
Today was a big day in the world of a GCS middle schooler! After learning all about bank accounts, taxes, pay checks, citizenship, and other life skills, they finally got to put their knowledge to the test! JA Biztown offered the chance for students to hold a job, work on teams, and learn about the ins and outs of a business.
The second graders have been learning about putting on the full armor of God!
Rain or shine, the butterflies still fly! 🦋
Our Kindergartners got to go see the butterflies today at Frederik Meijer Gardens. They have been learning about insects and loved getting to see all of the different kinds of butterflies at the gardens!
Our 4th grade class enjoyed pizza for lunch today. Their class read the most minutes in the month of March. Congratulations!
The Preschoolers got to visit Kindergarten for the morning! They had fun learning like a Kindergartner and learning all about the life cycle of a butterfly!
Our top readers from preschool through eighth grade were treated to lunch at Andrea’s today!
