What an exciting day to be a preschooler! Today was daddy donut day. All the dads came and spent the morning learning what life is like in the preschool room. They spent time doing projects together. Preschoolers shaved their dad's faces and had a Bible story. The dads also went to gym class. They ended the morning with donuts and chocolate milkshakes. Every preschooler gave their dad a special hammer that they painted just for them. We love our dads at GCS!

This morning Mr. Neville led us in Chapel. He reminded us all of the Fruits of the Spirit.
Our 1st graders sang a song that went with this theme.

No school today, Tuesday, due to the weather.

Reading Buddies are "Snow much fun"!

What a great day to be outside!

Today the 4th graders visited the preschool room to help the preschoolers make a Christmas wreath ornament out of pennies. The 4th graders also got to make one for themselves. We are thankful to have a wonderful school where we can do things like this together!

Our Kindergartners and their 7th and 8th grade buddies had a Christmas tree competition today! They had to turn one teammate into a Christmas tree and could add presents or other decorations to their "tree." They all had so much fun! 🎄🎁

3/4 are having a blast during their Experiential Santa Economics unit. Students created their own businesses in which they made products/goods to sell. In order to start their businesses, they needed to take out a loan (which they have all successfully paid off!) and have experienced other 'bills' and paying obligations, all the while they've had to balance their spending, saving, and work time! They have experienced being producers in a producer/consumer world! They are looking forward to hopefully making a profit next week when the workshop is open!

Have a wonderful weekend!

We were able to recognize our top honor, honor, and kindness award winners today. Great job kiddos!

The snow has arrived!

Grandparent's Day 2025
We are so thankful for all of our Grandparents! This is always a special morning spent together in worship, a school program and classroom visits. We are so blessed to have all of these wonderful Grandparents here at GCS, who pour into our students, families and community! We love to see this legacy of faith! 💙

Our Kindergartners and 1st graders celebrated Thanksgiving a little early with a Thanksgiving feast! They enjoyed a feast for lunch and an afternoon together doing Thanksgiving projects! It was a great celebration and we are all so thankful! 💙

We have so much to be thankful for! 1st and 5th/6th grade buddies joined together once again to count their many blessings.

5th and 6th Graders have been busy collaborating with their classmates and 1st grade buddies to review math skills and good manners, and to investigate the Declaration of Independence. We are so blessed by small class sizes here at GCS!

We love Wednesdays at GCS. We have Chapel, Mr. D (our school grandpa) comes in and hangs out with our kiddos, and we get a fantastic hot lunch!

This morning at Chapel we had "Ask the Pastor." Kindergarteners through 8th graders write out their questions and put in the red bucket for the pastors to pull out. Thank you, Mr. Mark and Pastor Kevin!

Our Kindergartners celebrated Veterans Day today. They leaned all about the sacrifices these brave men and women have made and how we celebrate them with love and gratefulness! ❤️💙
