Our 8th graders are having a pop can drive!

This afternoon our middle schoolers lead their chapel groups in a variety of team building challenges! These groups worked great together and we are so thankful for such great leaders in our middle school! We love to see them grow in leadership skills each year! Lots of fun was had too! As always, a big thanks to Mr. Mark for organizing these challenges!

Today is Mrs. Eatons last day at GCS! We will miss you!

Our middle schoolers are off to camp!

Here is some of what STEM has been up to as we are back in school. The 7th/8th graders have been learning about atoms and made scale models of Helium atoms around the classroom. 2nd grade has been learning about seeds and plants. They spent time making paper models of different seeds and observing how each one disperses differently. The maple seed model was voted the fasted flying seed.

We are hiring a 2 day a week aide! If you're interested in applying, please contact our Admin team! dvanderzanden@grantchristianschool.org Tim.steenstra@grantchristianschool.org

Many thanks to Mrs. Duerloo! On Friday she presented a creative and fun hands-on lesson on soap making! As 3rd/4th prepare to dive into God's Word using the SOAP bible study method, this great object lesson reminds us that just as we need to apply soap to keep our bodies clean, our hearts need to apply God's Word! 💙

2nd graders decided how they can use their super powers this year in class!

The preschoolers had the fifth and sixth graders come visit their classroom today to help them with a tracing project! The preschoolers enjoyed having help from the “big kids”!

Today 3/4 found several truths in God's Word that the Lord is even the God of weather! What confidence we have that He controls all things!

Our First graders practiced "magnifying" words today to help us better understand our memory verse today. At least half our class has already memorized the verse! Great job, First graders!

While the kindergarteners were at STEM one of the butterflies broke out of the protective chrysalis! Five more to go. God is so amazing...from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly!

Our 7th & 8th graders and Kindergartners had their first buddy time today! They did a project together, read books and ended their time with these fun photos together!

First grade students played hopscotch before the rain started today to help build strength, coordination and concentration, all great skills to have when developing reading, writing and math skills.

Even the Mantis prays at Grant Christian! 😊

3/4th had a spectacular week practicing all kinds of school expections, remembering how to be a good friend, learning how to show integrity, and playing games and team building exercises to work together as a team! We read A LOT of books and learned what was important about each other to value and accept differences but to notice how we are alike too! Today we had a Bible blessing ceremony and also magnified the Lord together with song and praise! Have a great Labor Day Holiday families! Come and check out some of our artwork next week!

Summer was amazing but there's nothing better than being back with your friends!

Who did igloo building better? The Native Americans or the GCS 5/6 graders?

This morning, we had our first chapel. It was great to see so many red chapel shirts!
