Thomas brought us the message in Chapel today.
Some key points:
Jesus came down as a baby knowing he would die.
He gave up his life knowing people wouldn’t even believe in Him!
He wanted to do the will of God.
Addy, Piper, Josiah, Thomas and Pastor Jordan led us in live worship! What a great way to start a Wednesday.
Today in J term the Introduction to Engineering group experimented with their egg drop contraptions.
They were successful with each drop!
Today was Worship Wednesday at GCS. It was so good to be back together worshiping God.
Anya reminded us that it is a new year, but God never changes. The same God that parted the Red Sea is the same God we worship today!
We also handed out prizes to our kids that "got caught being kind" in the month of December.
First graders can use many tools to learn math facts!
The middle school J-Term has begun! The inaugural session of J-Term kicked off Monday, January 6, 2025. This week, various classes are available for our middle school students to explore extracurricular topics.

Why did God choose Mary?
We heard a lot of different reasons from the kids 😊
Besides her obedience and lineage we really don’t know why!
God saved the entire world by giving us his son through Mary. Mary didn’t even know why God chose her.
She wasn’t perfect, she loved God! God tells us he can do mighty things through us.
Mary chose to obey God even when it was scary. There are many things that God can do but he chooses to use people to do them. A lot of times He uses just ordinary people!
What in my life can I do to give credit to God?
God wants to use us, but
it's still up to us.
Be like Mary! God wants to use us for His glory.

The preschool class did a buddy project today with the third and fourth graders. It’s always a fun time!
Today our 3rd & 4th graders took a field trip to Church's Tree Farm! They started out with a hayride to look at all the trees and then were able to pick out and cut a tree. The kids had a great time picking one out for their classroom. They were then able to help shake and wrap the tree. They finished the trip with hot chocolate and candy! Thank you Church's for allowing our students to come! 🎄

Opinion Writing started today in second grade with a Fact/Opinion Hunt around the room. They worked with partners and loved the activity. 💙
Our 1st graders loved rolling, baking, frosting and eating Christmas cookies on Friday!

To continue their study on Latin America, many students chose to participate by creating delicious food! 7th and 8th graders were treated to pork tacos, beef tacos, pico de gallo, tamales, and chips and salsa all created by their classmates. We’ve got some budding culinary talent here at GCS!
